Harold & Belle’s opened its doors in 1969 with a promise: bring the Bayou to Los Angeles, and never cut a corner on a family recipe to do it. That promise is still what comes out of the kitchen today, in the same Jefferson Park neighborhood, for the grandchildren of the customers who walked in that first year.
“New Orleans in Los Angeles” isn’t a slogan here — it’s the menu, the music, and the welcome at the door.
